Professor Howard Tumber is Visiting Professor at the Centre For European Political Communications (EurPolCom). He is Dean of the School of Arts and Professor of Journalism Research at City University, London. He is collaborating with Professor Paul Statham on the development of a method for retrieving events to be used in conjunction with the European Social Survey. Professor Tumber is the author of eight books and has published widely in the field of the sociology of news and journalism.
