NIEVES PEREZ-SOLORZANO - SENIOR LECTURER
Nieves Pérez-Solórzano is a Senior Lecturer in European Politics in the Politics Department at the University of Bristol, Secretary of the University Association for Contemporary European Studies (UACES) and member of the ESRC Centre for Competition Policy at the University of East Anglia. She has previously worked at the University of East Anglia (2000-2006) and the University of Exeter (1998-2000).
Her research focuses on civil society participation and interest representation in the European Union, and the impact of EU accession on interest politics in Central and Eastern Europe. Her future research agenda includes work on the ethical implications of stakeholder consultation as part of the European Commission's Transparency Initiative. She has received research funding from the British Academy, the Autonomous Community of Castilla and Leon and the ESRC. She has previously undertaken consultancy work for the King Baudouin Foundation, the College of Europe and the Electoral Commission.
